Northrop Grumman has two separate teams working on the designs of new fighters that the company will offer to the U.S. Air Force and Navy.
Tom Vice, president of Northrop’s aerospace division, told Defense News that his employer will compete for the next generation fighter as a prime contractor.
Vice also hinted that a supersonic, tailless design could be offered as a potential configuration.
Both services are still in the preliminary planning stage to procure new fighters.
