U.S. Navy’s oldest active fighter pilot makes final flight

The U.S. Navy’s oldest active fighter pilot, Cmdr. Tim Kurtz, flew his last flight on Jan. 31 at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans.

At 54, Kurtz reports to Navy Reserve strike fighter squadron VFA-204, flying the classic F/A-18.
