Nicaragua plans to buy MiG-29s

Nicaraguan army spokesman General Adolfo Zepeda said his government plans to buy MiG-29 fighters to fight drug trafficking in coastal areas.

Zepeda added that the fighters will be used for defensive purposes such as patrolling 75,000 square kilometers in the Caribbean that formerly belonged to Columbia.
