Three on board a JMSDF OH-6DA helicopter were killed when the rotorcraft went down in the mountains of Ebino, Miyazaki Prefecture on Feb. 12.
The wreckage was discovered on Feb. 13. The aircraft disappeared from the radar at 11:05 a.m. It left Kanoya Air Base in Kanoya, Kagoshima Prefecture at 9:20 a.m. for a navigation training exercise.
