Soldiers from U.S. Army Alaska’s 1st Battalion (Airborne), 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division and the JGSDF’s 3rd Battalion, 1st Airborne Brigade, Central Readiness Force, conducted a platoon level airborne jump during Exercise North Wind 2015 on Feb. 21.
The main objective of this exercise was “to demonstrate that the U.S. and Japan forces could conduct a jump together,” said Col. Osamu Asai, commander of the 27th Infantry Regiment.
