Denmark’s Foreign Minister Martin Lidegaard has called on the United States to suspend the public tender for a maintenance contract at Thule Air Base.
The contract was earlier awarded to Exelis Services. The award drew protests from both Greenland and Denmark. There is worry that vital jobs in Greenland would be lost when the American firm takes over.
