The U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia confirmed that the United States government had donated a single C-130E to Ethiopia.
The transport plane had formerly been assigned to Puerto Rico ANG’s 198th airlift squadron and later stored at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base with 22,739 flying hours.
It is currently serving under No 15 squadron at Ethiopian Air Force main airbase in Bishoftu town, Oromia Regional State.
