Welsh: Future air dominance might not require an airplane

Gen. Mark Welsh, chief of staff for the U.S. Air Force, said the search for future air dominance might not necessarily lead to a new airplane.

“I think it’s important that everybody understand, this isn’t necessarily an airplane. It’s how do you provide air dominance down the road? There are probably a number of things you have to do to do that,” Welsh said at an Air Force Association event.
