Taxiway Zulu at Bagram Air Field is now runway 03L/21R

Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan now has a new runway after Taxiway Zulu was converted to runway 03L/21R.

Base officials decided a second runway is needed after an exercise last fall to simulate the closure of the primary runway exposed shortfalls.
