Lt. Col. Christine Mau, 33rd Operations Group deputy commander, is the first woman to complete a training flight on the F-35.

The former F-15E pilot accomplished the feat at Eglin Air Force Base on May 5.
Col. Todd Canterbury, 33rd FW commander, said Mau was selected due to her combat experience and technical prowess in the cockpit.
