Indian Air Force has requirement for 80 Rafale-type fighters

The Indian Air Force has told the defense ministry that it requires five squadrons of Rafale-type fighters. Each squadron will have 16 aircraft.

This works out to 80 aircraft, therefore the 36 Rafales on order is insufficient to meet the service’s requirements.
