“MCAS Beaufort has the most space and all the right facilities. It’s a military field, it has arresting gear, and it’s an air station that is built for jets. Also the air space is fairly uncongested here,” said Lt. Cmdr. Stephen Peters, Training Squadron 22 operations officer.

The air wings were able to utilize VMFA-251’s facilities at Beaufort as the squadron is out at sea with USS Roosevelt.
