The U.S. Congress has been informed on the potential sale of four MQ-9 Block 5 aircraft to Spain. The total cost of the contract including associated equipment, parts and logistical support is estimated to cost $243 million.

“Spain requests these capabilities to provide for the defense of its deployed troops, regional security, and interoperability with the United States,” the notification stated.
