Lockheed Martin won the Long Range Discrimination Radar contract

Lockheed Martin Corp has won a contract valued at $784 million to develop, deploy, test, and operate a Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR) at Clear Air Force Station, Alaska.

Lockheed Martin beat Northrop Grumman and Raytheon to win the contract. The company now has to get the radar up and running by 2020.
