JLENS broke free from mooring
The Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defense Elevated Netted Sensor System (JLENS) broke free from its mooring station in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland on Oct. 28 and later came down in the vicinity of Moreland Township, Pennsylvania.

First Russian serviceman to die in Syria
A 19 year-old assigned to a Russia Su-25 unit now deployed to Syria has died there on Oct. 24. Vadim Kostenko is said to have hanged himself because of a relationship problem with his girlfriend. He is the first Russian serviceman confirmed to have died in Syria after Moscow started air strikes in the country.
RCAF C-130 refuels Italian Tornado
A Royal Canadian Air Force C-130 crew had the opportunity to aerial refuel a Italian Air Force Tornado fighter bomber over Trapani Air Base in Sicily during Exercise Trident Juncture 2015.
