State police brought the wayward JLENS back to Earth in the Pennsylvania countryside on Oct. 28 with around 100 shots using shotguns.
U.S. Army Captain Matthew Villa said sensitive radar equipment on board have been removed and it may take up to Friday to remove the blimp.
A spokesman for the Army Combat Readiness Center said the incident is being classified as a Class A mishap.
Meanwhile, the second JLENS at Aberdeen Proving Ground has been grounded.
