Finnish Air Force wanted to replace Vinka with Czech-made aircraft

The Finnish Air Force went shopping for a new basic trainer to replace the indigenous Vinka. Most of the models on the market were deemed too expensive.

The service was happy with a particular model from Czech manufacturer Zlin Aircraft but when Finnish pilots went to test fly the plane, they found that the cockpit is too small to fit them comfortably.
