Former Apache pilot and 3-star U.S. Army general fired by Carter

U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has removed Lt. Gen. Ron Lewis from his post as Carter’s military aide amid misconduct allegations.

Lewis was previously Carter’s right-hand adviser and before coming to the Pentagon, he was an Apache pilot commanding an aviation brigade at the 101st Airborne Division.
