France had flown two reconnaissance flights around the towns of Sirte and Tobruk, Libya on Nov. 20 and 21.

The information was given out in the press dossier provided ahead of President Francois Hollande’s visit to the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle on Dec. 4. It was the first time Paris revealed that it was monitoring ISIL in Libya.
“Other intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance flights are also planned,” the document said.
