Denmark will now make decision on replacing the F-16 next year

Last month, Bill Sweetman reported that Denmark is to decide on buying the F-35 this month. However, Defense News now says a decision will only be made in the first quarter of 2016.

The Parliamentary Defense Committee (PDC) is also seeking clarifications from Defense Minister Peter Christensen on technical issues raised about the F-35’s capabilities in the Director, Operational Test & Evaluation Office (DOT&E) report. Christensen chose not to answer those questions. He told the PDC that the announcement will be made only after the government had resolved all funding issues and formulate a finance plan for the Fighter Replacement Program (FRP).
