Orbital ATK has received a contract award from the U.S. Air Force for production of the AIM-9P Sidewinder rocket motor.

These motors will be produce for the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program so that foreign Air Forces still employing the weapon will have an opportunity to extend the life-span of their stocks.
Besides opportunities from the FMS program, Orbital ATK has already signed a Direct Commercial Sales contract to provide AIM-9P motors and other components to an allied country.
