For the first time since 1952, airmen from the Japan Air Self-Defense Force and Royal Australian Air Force are joining the U.S. Air Force for Operation Christmas Drop.

Each year, cargo planes from the Pacific Air Force will deliver supplies via low-altitude airdrop to islanders throughout the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and Republic of Palau.
