The Republic of China Air Force and Navy is busy setting up a radar picket from Taiwan to Taiping island in South China Sea as President Ma Ying-jeuo is expected to fly there between Dec. 12-14.

E-2 Hawkeye will provide the primary air picture during the early phase of the outbound flight. Once the C-130 exit from the Taiwan ADIZ, warships from the RoCN will take over to monitor the airspace around his aircraft.
For this, a Kidd-class destroyer and two Cheng Kung-class frigates are being positioned along the route. They will be relay their data back to Taiwan using the Po Sheng C4I system.
