Brand new JF-17 appears in Chengdu

A newly assembled JF-17 has been photographed in Chengdu. This suggest that the Chengdu plant has a production line besides the one in Pakistan.

  1. There is no second production line at Chengdu yet. Most of the tooling is setup at PAC, and this aircraft was also built there & then flown to China.

  2. @ozz if there are no tooling setup in Chengdu then where was first prototype built? I thought initial batch/prototypes were built by Chengdu. May be chendgu dissembled tooling and shipped to PAC?

  3. since China has decided not to induct JF-17 in their air froce,with the exception of 6 proto types,all future production will be done in Pakistan at Kamrah.
