Various sources have indicated that PACAF commander, Gen. Lori Robinson, is likely to be chosen as the next head of U.S. Northern Command.

Robinson was also rumored to be one of the candidates to replace Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Welsh. But it is now unlikely she will get the top post.
