USN F/A-18A crashed in Nevada

A U.S. Navy F/A-18A assigned to the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center at Naval Air Station Fallon crashed on Jan. 12. The pilot ejected safely.

According to the Navy, the jet went down at the Fallon Range Training Complex, about 25 miles east of Naval Air Station Fallon.

The plane was on a routine training mission when the incident happened. The aircraft impacted a mountain.
