Turkish and U.S. officials say Russian troops have been deployed to an airport in Qamishli, Syria which is right across the border with Turkey.
Wall Street Journal reported that there are no signs that the small group of troops are preparing to make the airport into a staging point for air strikes but their intentions there are unclear.
