Recent media reports said U.S. troops have taken control of Rmaylan airstrip in Syria’s northern province of Hasakah. A spokesman of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has refuted those reports.
The airstrip had remained disused for years but recent satellite imagery suggests it was being lengthened from the original 700m to 1350m and the airstrip’s surface was being repaved.
