Talks to sell UAE Mirage 2000s to Iraq still ongoing

Defense News reports that the UAE is still in discussions to sell 10 of its Mirage 2000 fighters to the Iraqi Air Force.

The publication quoted a UAE source as saying that the country wanted to have those fighters deployed to Kurdish territories in Iraq but the suggestion was rebuffed by the Iraqi government.

Instead, Iraq suggests to have the Mirages stationed at Balad air base.
