AIDC’s first license-built aircraft are still flying in the United States

The Chinese American Pilots and Aircraft Owners Association (CAPAOA) has the only Aero Industry Development Center (AIDC) PL-1B still flying in the world.

AIDC produce 58 PL-1B under license and 5849 was one of the five that was shipped to the United States after they were decommissioned in 1958.

It has been under the ownership of CAPAOA member Leo Lee since 2008.
