The Russian Defense Ministry has confirmed that four Su-35S fighters have been deployed to Syria. Spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov told journalists: “Starting from last week, super-maneuverable Su-35S fighter jets started performing combat missions at Khmeimim airbase.”
Serial numbers of the jets are: 02517, 02518, 02619 and 02620. They were delivered to the Russian Air Force in the last quarter of 2015 and deployed to the Chkalov State Flight Tests Center in Akhtunbinsk.
