Russia is the latest country to step into the debate over the possible deployment of the U.S. THAAD air defense missile system in the Korean Peninsular.

Russian Ambassador to Seoul Alexander Timonin told a press conference on Feb. 2 that by having the THAAD in South Korea will “hardly facilitates strengthening peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and brings the resolution of the nuclear problem.”
