Belgium expect to issue RFP to replace F-16A/B fleet during summer

Flight Global says Belgium will issue a request for proposals (RFP) this summer for a replacement of its F-16A/B fleet. The new fighter will have to be in service by 2025.

According to the publication, Belgium will have to award the contract for a new fighter by 2018 in order to meet the target. A general election in 2019 will also have to be taken into consideration.
