It was a huge loss to the aviation community on Feb. 21 as Capt Eric “Winkle” Brown passed away at the age of 97 after a short illness.
He holds the world record for the number of aircraft flown and 2,407 carrier landings. His flying carrier spans the golden age of flight testing and it is unlikely that his records will ever be broken.
