The Pentagon has completed the final Environmental Impact Statement to bring two squadrons of F-35A fighters to Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.

The report largely mirrors what the draft report had recommended last year. Bringing 48 aircraft to the base would result in economic growth for the community there.
However, more residential areas will be affected from the increase noise generated by the F-35.
