Combat-coded F-35As drop weapons for first time

F-35As from the U.S. Air Force’s 388th and 419th fighter wings dropped laser-guided bombs at the Utah Test and Training Range for the first time on Feb. 25.

That was the first time F-35As assigned to combat units have dropped weapons. Previously, only test units have dropped weapons.
