French Mirage 2000 off the starboard side of a B-52

The B-52 participated in an ad hoc friendly intercept during its flight to Norway for NATO exercise Cold Response 16. Friendly intercepts like these are often used as a training opportunity for both parties, and improve the coordination between military units. (U.S. Air Force courtesy photo/)
