Saab is offering its Sea Giraffe 1X 3D, active electronically scanned array (AESA) naval radar to the U.S. market. The company is showcasing the radar at the Maritime Security East Conference in Norfolk, Virginia this week.
Gene Bojarski, Business Development Manager of Naval Programs with Saab Defense and Security USA’s Sensor Systems division said the radar will give small patrol boats the ability to detect unmanned aerial vehicles for the first time.
