Two killed after their car hit a F/A-18E while being chased by California Highway Patrol

The driver and a passenger inside a Jeep Cherokee were killed after their vehicle hit a parked F/A-18E at NAS Lemoore on Mar. 30.

Apparently, the car was being chased by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) after the driver sped away during a spot check.

It then began traveling in the wrong direction on California State Route 198 in Lemoore before crashing through the front gate of the Naval Air Station.

The chase eventually ended after the Jeep hit the horizontal stabilizer of the Super Hornet.
