A ceremony to launch the twin-seat JF-17B project was held in Chengdu, China recently with dignitaries from China and Pakistan gracing the occasion.

Program Manager for the JF-17, Air Marshal Muhammad Iqbal, was quoted as saying that the JF-17B would enhance the training and operational capability of the Pakistan Air Force.
The aircraft is expected to fly later this year and induct into service next year.
