The U.S. Navy has given an update on the test schedule of the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) aboard USS Gerald R. Ford. Capt. Chris Meyer, program manager for the CVN-78 class, told USNI News that the first arrested landing will now occur in November.

He admitted that the test schedule has slipped due to a design issue discover three years ago but there is little impact on the delivery schedule as the ship has to undergone additional post-delivery tests.
Super Hornet will be the first type to be cleared for landing, followed by the E-2.
