Two Czech Air Force Gripen fighters were scrambled on May 27 after a Spanish commercial flight entered Czech airspace and the cockpit crew failed to respond to air traffic controllers.

The fighter pilots made visual contact with the crew who then establish contact on the emergency channel. The fighters then escort the airliner till German airspace.
