Denmark’s Parliament has approved the acquisition of 27 Lockheed Martin F-35As on Jun. 9. This makes Denmark the 7th partner nation of the JSF program and 11th nation to operate the F-35.

Denmark will start phasing in the new jet in 2021 and phase out the F-16 completely by 2024. Below is the table showing the number of F-35s being inducted each year starting from 2021.

Denmark hasn’t operated any F-35 yet, they haven’t even bought any. Next at some point will come negotiations for terms including system configuration, price and delivery.
