Sunset for USN’s legacy Hornets will be 2026

The F/A-18A/B/C/D variants will be gone from the U.S. Navy fleet in ten years time, according to the service’s Naval Aviation Vision 2016-2025 statement.

But it is not clear when the Marines will phase out its legacy Hornets, the document only mentioned that they will be “sustaining into the future.”
