Two daily U-2 reconnaissance flights over Korean Peninsular

The United States has switched to two daily reconnaissance flights by U-2 spy planes in the Korean Peninsular after the recent successful launch of Musudan ballistic missiles by North Korea.

Previously, the practice was to send only one U-2 up in the air to peer into North Korea from the south. U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) made the switch after the latest launch of the Musudan on Jun. 22.
