The first of 21 U.S. Army UH-60Ls converted into HH-60G Pave Hawks has been introduced into the fleet during a ceremony in Huntsville, Alabama on Jun. 28.

Science and Engineering Services LLC is the contractor carrying out the conversion – which involves taking a UH-60L and add a comprehensive kit of modifications and additional equipment to convert it into a HH-60G.
Air National Guard rescue units in California, Alaska, and New York will receive these Operational Loss Replacement (OLR) helicopters in fiscal year 2018 after initial testing, while former Guard aircraft will re-flow to active units with the highest number of flight hours, the U.S. Air Force said.
