Japan could partner with Israel to develop unmanned aircraft

Japanese defense officials are mulling over a plan to research on unmanned surveillance aircraft and fighters with help from Israel.

Anonymous sources told Kyodo News that the National Security Council will decide whether the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency from Japan can work with the SIBAT defense cooperation department of Israel’s Defense Ministry over the joint study.

The joint study will examine how Japanese sensor technologies can be integrated with Israeli airframes.
