A El Al Boeing 747 passenger plane was escorted by fighter jets from various countries during its flight over Europe after a tip-off on a bomb on board the plane.

El Al received an anonymous call after the flight had departed New York on Jul. 5. News outlets said France, Switzerland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece and Italy scrambled their fighters to shadow the aircraft as it made its way back to Israel.
