U.S. Air Force is also frustrated over delays to sell jets to Mideast nations

The U.S. Air Force has joined the Navy in voicing its frustration over delays by the Obama administration to sell fighter jets to three Middle East nations.

Air Force Deputy Undersecretary Heidi Grant told Reuters that she had to reassure those countries that the delays won’t alter relationships between both sides.

“It’s caused us to do more to reassure them that this one transaction should not impact the larger relationship … that they are very valued partners,” she said. “Hopefully the delay in this decision to move forward isn’t going to have any impact.”
