USS Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) carried out the first interoperability test of the latest Aegis Baseline 9.C1 with Spanish frigate Cristobol Colon (F 105) recently.

Not only was that the first test of the latest Aegis Weapon System baseline with a foreign warship, it was also the U.S. Navy’s first combined Combat Systems Ship Qualification Trial with the Spanish Navy since 2007.
The exercise cumulated in live missile firing events which saw DDG 51 engaging against a variety of subsonic anti-ship cruise missile targets.
